I guess now is as good a time as any to mention this........ My dad applied for a transfer, and he got it. He's been assigned to a new store opening just south of Nagano. He's already put a down-payment on a house up there.

It's not that huge a surprise -- I mean, they've been talking about it for practically forever. I guess the man-eating killer plants were just the straw that broke the camel's back? Anyway, we have until the 31st to move out.



Sooo.... how about those zany plants, huh?? One got me on the arm, but I guess I got off pretty easy, considering! Just another wacky day in desai; wonder what the next bi-monthly fight for our lives is gonna be like!!

(The camera whips around the ceiling for a moment before panning down and focusing on a young man's face. His hair is completely dishevelled, and he looks sleep-deprived and highly stressed, like a man at the end of his rope. He appears to be holding the camera at an arm's length from himself. There is a soft, low sound in the background, just odd enough to distinguish itself from feedback.)

Kanji, Naoto!! Where the hell are you guys, why aren't you picking up your phones?? Anyway, I've got a couple of uh..... a couple of problems, here!!! I could really use some backup, if you catch my--

(a sudden movement from the corner of his eye draws his gaze away from the camera, and in moments his expression turns from "mildly panicked" to a textbook representation of "oh, shit!")

NO! NONONONO SOUJI-KUN, DON'T CLIMB UNDER THE BED, IT'S DANGEROUS!!!!


(The camera falls to the ground and the picture flickers slightly. In the field of vision is the side panel of an unmade bed, and the haunches of a small child jutting out from underneath it. Yosuke dives into the picture and drags a grey-haired kid out from under the bed, just in time for a black arm to come swiping out, missing Yosuke's shins by mere inches. Yelping, he topples backwards, kid in tow.

There's a momentary groan of pain, under which the low growling is clearly audible now. The palm of a hand obscures the lens for a second, before the camera rights itself up again. Sitting in Yosuke's lap is a very tiny, very familiar, very serious-looking boy.)

Uh yeah. Problem number one, obviously - I think this crazy place has some kind of weird devolution side-effect - but THIS is the big one:

Man oh man.... this is just my luck! I'm here less than a month and the place goes straight to hell - literally! And those monsters outside are crazy-resistant to wind spells, too... perfect.



If anybody's still reading these things, we set up a barricade at my family's store. We've got food, emergency supplies, and stuff that can be used as weapons if people need 'em - but... I can't defend this place on my own. Nothing's broken through yet, but man these things just keep on coming!!
